Pain perdu in Toronto

Delicious freshly made at a great price - absolutely incredible pastries and warm, family feel.

Great little french cafe, authentic Parisian. Highly recommend the Pain Perdu (sort of like brioche french toast, with cream and fresh fruit). Minimal seating. Croissants are some of the best I've had.

Cozy decor, an excellent place to sit down and relax. The prices are excellent and the drinks are very tasty.

I was in there for the first time this morning. I got treated for my Birthday and it as LOVELY! Had a Croissant and Latte which where YUMMY. And I bought some Olive Bread.Great service, small place but I thought it was great. And the person who brought me here is a regular weekly customer who told me that it's her FAVOURITE HANGOUT!!I'll be back!👌👣✌️☀️

Good pastries, but very limited menu with COVID. They don't have Mille-Feuille or Pain Perdu.

This restaurant is my favored. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very warm and the cooking they offer is so yummy. I never decline to have a decent dinner here. I highly recommend this place.

This site is my first choice site. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place. everytime I want to go to a special lunch, this is the place that comes first to my head. very good and all sorts of food and a large list of dishes.generous staff members, and good spirit. Not less important, the pay is reasonable. I praise this place with great pleasure.

I was really excited about trying this place after moving to the neighbourhood. I finally stopped by and bought an almond croissant and “sourdough” bread. I was hugely disappointed by both. The almond croissant was dense. The sourdough bread was also dense and a little stale. Im giving it 2 starts instead of 1, simply because I didn’t try any food/ sandwiches and maybe they’re better? I doubt I would be back.

Good French cafe serving baked goods, salads & sandwiches and some dishes. Food is fresh with reasonable portion sizes. Service was friendly especially towards the frequent visitors.

I come here many times since few years but since 2 months, quality is terrible. Quiche seems to be 4 days old. It's def not fresh. I don't come back anymore. Where are bakers ?

This place is always packed. Staffs are nice as always.

After reading several reviews, i stopped in to buy some croissants and baguette. Service was rude and items were pricey. Went home and was disappointed by the quality. Both items were terrible. Fleur du jour down the street is far superior for both service and taste.

Great quiche and pastries! An instant take home brunch as well if you order ahead.

Always a great experience. Everyone I take is super glad after we've gone, even though it looks a little bare bones. The mains, the pastries, daily specials, are all good.

Great hot chocolate. Underwhelming sandwiches given the $9 price. The salmon one I had consisted of smoked salmon, spinach, and some mustard I couldn't even taste.

I visit this lovely place often! This is the best place to have a bite. I go to this spot many times. The meals are great, the team is professional and the charge is reasonable. I enjoy eating in this place to have a tasty dinner.

Great food and service

I was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem. There warm chicken sandwich was so good. Proves to show simple ingredients work with the right people. A great atmosphere not to loud. And the service was very pleasant. I'm definitely getting a chocolate croissant to go.

A HORRIBLE experience. One of our favourite haunts on St Clair West and my husband and I dropped in for Sunday brunch. It was all going good until I was refused water refill on the grounds that they’re too full and this for me (now for someone like me who is pregnant and in my 4th month) this I’m sure was SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE! I mean who the hell refuses waster? And on some absolute baseless grounds. I would understand if I was sitting there and occupying a table unnecessarily but we sat and ate food worth $60 so clearly we’ve not affected their business during their so called “rush period”!!

The quiche here is incredible.

I visit this place a lot since I work right next to it. I got to say their service is always fantastic and they keep the place neat at all times. Pricing is convenient and they serve generous portions.

I went in Sunday to purchase two baguettes, once I got home the two baguettes were almost rock hard. The inside was very dry and I was not able to eat it. It’s almist as if the baguettes were at least three days old. I had high expectations and was incredibly disappointed with the quality, ultimately having to throw away both baguettes.

croissants used to be the best in the city but they have continuously shrunken in size. also we had a baguette that was very uninspired. what a shame...

The people working the counter are very welcoming and are keeping care to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the space. I think that they have some of the best croissants in the city. A hidden gem with other great food, but I always get the croissants.

It’s an ok place, the food is not bad, however the place closes really early, at 4 pm, and the staff don’t want to serve you after 3pm. In fact they tell you they’re closed if you happen to walk in at 3pm. This has been my experience twice. It felt as if they were trying to kick us out at 3, even though they close at 4. Not a welcoming place at all. I will not be recommending Pan Perdu to anyone, not because of the food but because of unfriendly and abrupt staff. Very rude indeed.

I always stop by grabbing some food in here. I like the quick service and well cooked dishes. 5 stars from me.
